Adriano Martello, oldest in a family of eight children, grew up in Rome, but attended the Military Academy of Modena at 18. He joined the Carabinieri and earned a spot as an Explorer Paratrooper in the 1st Paratrooper Regiment known as Tuscania. After several distinguished tours where he earned Silver and Bronze Medals of Military Valor, Martello qualified for Gruppo di Intervento Special (Special Intervention Group or GIS) and participated in jointed operations in Iraq, earning a facial scar from a roadside IED. He engaged in multiple actions against homegrown threats in Italy and eventually became an instructor helping train Tier 3 units in the Italian military.

Aria de Luca was born in Tripoli, Libya and immigrated with her family when she was three years old. Her father managed a small ordinance manufacturer, using his extensive North African contracts to open up exports to that region. De Luca carried her understanding and usage of Italian firearms through the family business and training on the shooting range. At 10, Aria entered the European Championships organized by the European Shooting Confederation and won gold in both 10-metre running target and 10-metre air pistol divisions. Following the event, a Carabinieri recruiter convinced her to join the police force.

Baker comes from a long line of dockworkers and soldiers. Despite family pressure to join the family trade as a stevedore, he enlisted for active duty at age eighteen. Though his younger brother Paulie Baker would eventually become one. Immediately thrown into politically-charged conflicts, Baker's performance was exemplary. Further training and another conflict gave him a Distinguished Flying Cross and Conspicuous Gallantry Cross. His keen sense of observation and decisive manner, combined with his close-quarter combat techniques, made him invaluable on VIP protection detail. A veteran of three wars, Baker was the oldest SAS operative on active duty until he was recruited by Rainbow

Brunsmeier and his twin brother Cedrick were born on August 13, 1974 in Berlin, East Germany. Both were raised in a working class district near the Berlin Wall. Their father worked in the police force and strongly encouraged them to join. In 1992, the day after their eighteenth birthday, both brothers joined the Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS). Stationed with border patrol, Brunsmeier spent his first year getting accustomed to taking orders and filing paperwork. Brunsmeier excelled in crisis situations. He transferred to the Aviation Group long enough to obtain his helicopter license but his adaptability and experience with border surveillance flagged him for undercover operations.

Campbell was born on September 20, 1980 in Sherman Oaks, California. Campbell graduated from California State University with a bachelor's degree in Science and Criminal Justice and promptly joined the LAPD. After five years on the job, he was reassigned to the LAPD SWAT team. Campbell excelled in tactical support and high-risk incidents. His careful application of dynamic and deliberate entries made him a Captain early on, while his exceptional perimeter control earned him his first commendation.

Colin McKinley enrolled in the Marine Corps at 18 and earned several commendations in his service jacket for his aggressive quick-thinking, achieving Master Sergeant despite a few minor infractions on his record. After his third tour, he left the Marines and entered the Secret Service in close-protection detail. McKinley's agility was instrumental in saving Secretary of State Baldwin's life when insurgents attacked the U.S. diplomatic junket. Baldwin later went on to become President and requested McKinley be assigned to the Presidential Protective Division. McKinley has spent over a decade in Washington, protecting important political figures. He is the foremost expert in close protection detail, and with President Baldwin finishing his second term, McKinley has received high endorsements for his transition into Rainbow.

A Montreal native, Cote comes from a long line of military veterans. The middle of three, Cote grew up in a close-knit family. Cote always wanted to lead an unconventional life. To achieve this, he enrolled in the Canadian Armed Force Reserves via the Regular Officer Training Plan, which allowed him to attend Université du Québec and obtain a bachelors in criminology. After graduation, he enlisted full time in the Canadian Army and was assigned to the Military Police. After separating from the military, Cote joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. His specialized training in high-risk situations, both long- and close-range, marine rescue, and armed ship boarding allowed him easy acceptance to join the RCMP Emergency Response Team.

Craig grew up in a comfortable upper middle-class family with no military history. He decided that he wanted to be a Navy SEAL at a young age. He sought to break the family tradition of being involved in medical sciences and devoted his life to achieving his goal. With the help of his father, a kinesiology professor at the University of Washington, he joined the Boy Scout and the United Sates Naval Sea Cadet Corps (Blue Angels Squadron) at the age of twelve.

Elena María Álvarez was born on November 18, 1977. Abandoned by her mother at birth, she and her sister were raised by their father in Madrid. When they were both young, Álvarez and her sister both received a doll. Her sister dressed her doll up and had tea parties while Álvarez took a knife and cut it open to see out it worked. Álvarez later found her purpose working for the family business. She started working alongside her father in his repair shop which helped form her intricate understanding of machinery and prompted her to study mechanical engineering and metallurgy at university. Instilled with a strong sense of justice and an obligation to serve, Álvarez joined the Cuerpo Nacional de Policía. Proving to have stellar strength, endurance and knowledge of vehicles sparked her progress in the ballistic field. She saw the need for better equipment and developed new bullet proof materials to protect her teammates while on operations.

Elias is a graduate of Hermann Bose-Gymnasium, an elite academy specializing in science and language studies. Throughout his education Elias excelled both academically and athletically. Among his many unique qualities, Elias is multilingual with the ability to grasp the nuance of language quickly. His physically imposing frame and skill with his weapon make him formidable in tight space, room-to-room deployment. It's his tactical experience that secures him as a solid Rainbow elite. These abilities combed with his specialized academic background and good-natured personality make him highly sought after. He easily transitioned from a Schnelle Kräfte soldier in Kosovo to a member of the GSG 9. Elias has been integral to fostering training practices and good will between India's National Security Guard and GSG 9.

Eliza's mother is a renowned Jewish political activist and professor while her Palestinian father is a professor of Middle Eastern Studies. Cohen was raised in Israel, excelling in Mathematics and Physics. She earned a degree in Structural Engineering at Tel Aviv University and spend a few semesters at Boston University.

Elzbieta

Elzbieta Bosak was born on November 8, 1985 in Wrocław, Poland. She is the youngest daughter of Jan Bosak, former commander of the Polish Special Forces unit GROM. She is also the younger sister of Sofia Bosak. Growing up, her father favored Sofia, causing a rift between them. Despite this, Sofia was highly protective of her sister.

Emma grew up in a family of academics in the historic city of Nancy, France, where the children were encouraged to excel in Math, Science, and Technology. Early participation in sponsored computer programming competitions led to her joining the army cadets at sixteen. Almost immediately her talent was recognized, particularly in robotics. Her superiors quickly encouraged Emma to study engineering while continuing her career in the military with the GIGN. From the start, Emma's focus has been on adaptable technology that aids soldiers in the field. While there is much praise for her technological achievements, Emma's tactical prowess and ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently make her a crucial operational asset.

Estrada was born on October 11, 1984 at Seymore Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. His father, Mark Peterson, was a pilot while his mother Cynthia Estrada was a classified Senior Intelligence Officer. Estrada was raised on bases across the US and internationally, in Germany, Turkey, and Japan. Estrada demonstrated acumen for science at an early age and was quickly moved into an advanced curriculum. His focus on Forensic Science and Biochemistry made him a perfect fit for the Biometrics Program with the FBI, which he joined as their youngest intern in 2007.

The eldest of five, Fairous has demonstrated leadership potential throughout her life. From an early age Fairous worked with engines and competed in robot championships. Her mechanic background was heavily influenced by her father, a military aircraft mechanic.

Flament was born to a conservative, well-to-do family. His parents and older sister, Sophie, were in medicine and devout Catholics, but he bucked against their accomplishments and their faith. He was smart and arrogant, but he believed rebellion was a better use of his intellect. It was fun to act against expectation, to drink and party... at least it was until he got his girlfriend, Claire, pregnant.

Born to a fishing family on the coast of Kenya, Furaha spent his childhood hunting sharks and collecting lost treasures from the ocean floor of the Lamu Archipelago. It soon became apparent that he was able to stay underwater far longer than his peers, and medical exploration revealed an abnormal physiology that contributed to Furaha's long-held belief that he was “not from here.” When the opportunity arose to join the Kenyan Navy, and later the Kenya Special Boat Unit, he put his skills to good use. He quickly drew the attention of generals within the navy as well as the worldwide scientific community for his prolific and frequent record-breaking freedives. He later transitioned to NIGHTHAVEN, drawn by the promise of more down-time and a private boat to take him to where his next dive site might be.

Glazkov was born and raised in the seaport city of Vladivostok, Russia on July 2, 1987. It was here that his father worked in the shipping industry and Timur studied art in secondary school. In 2004, the deaths that resulted from the Beslan school hostage crisis inspired him to transfer to the Cadet Corps and pursue a career in the armed forces. Afterwards, he attended the Khabarovsk Military Commanders Training Academy where he developed unparalleled marksmanship. He also regularly participated in cross-border training exercise with China where he gained a strong understanding of Mandarin. After the Academy, he joined the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation and later the Spetsnaz 45th Guards Regiment. Assigned to special ops and VIP protection detail, reports consistently show that Glaz possesses a unique creative approach to problem solving. He is the squad member with the most expertise in long-range scoped weaponry.

Grace, named for the incomparable actress Grace Kelly, always broke expectations, even when it meant she stuck out somehow. She scavenged or bought spare components to build her own computers. She played soccer with the neighborhood boys and got into fights with them, but it was her sharp tongue that landed her in trouble with her teachers. She looked and acted like a troublemaker, so they tried to force her to conform to expectations. To survive, Grace learned to soften her image, to better play with and manipulate preconceptions; she bought fake glasses and adopted the geek girl persona.

Consistently the best at whatever he set his mind to, he easily imagined himself as an admired pediatric surgeon and enrolled in medical school. However, he soon discovered that memorizing theory wasn’t to his liking and instead opted for paramedic training in order to get into the action more quickly.

Hernandez was eleven years old when a bomb destroyed his home, killing his father and sister and severely injuring his mother. With the help of Specialist Quispe, Hernandez's mother Sadie taught him to observe his surroundings, and to avoid the other boys his age who had been drawn into gang-related affairs. She encouraged him to enroll at the Heroic Naval Military School, where he graduated as a teniente de corbeta. He joined the Naval Infantry, then the Amphibious Commando Battalion, participating extensively in anti-smuggling operations and several high-profile arrests. Becoming a member of the Fuerzas Especiales introduced him to the reality that drugs were no longer the primary source of income for the cartels. He began working with UNESCO and INTERPOL to combat antiquities trafficking, where he gained the attention of Rainbow as a mind with a keen tactical sense and exceptional forward-thinking.

Jordan joined the Corps straight out of high school, making him a fourth-generation Marine. Following his first tour of Iraq, he obtained enough experience to volunteer as an explosive ordnance disposal technician. After his second tour of Iraq, Jordan returned to the U.S., enrolled at Texas A&M, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He brought his experiences and skills to the FBI, where he spent fours years as a field agent with the Hazardous Materials Response Unit. Seeking more dynamic environments, Jordan transferred into FBI SWAT, where he excelled at developing new barricade protocols. He then earned a spot in Rainbow where he's shown further interest in research and development on gadget upgrades. Jordan's hometown of Plano has a major concentration of Chinese Americans, and as such Jordan has conversational level of Mandarin.

Julien Nizan was born on January 6, 1990 in Tours, France. Nizan was the youngest son of a working-class family. His father was a respected stone mason while his mother held numerous jobs. Both of them informed his sense of architectural design and precision, helping him earn top rankings in school. Along with Nizan's intellectual interests, he excelled in athletics from an early age, including Track & Field, fencing, and cycling. He later dropped out of university to cycle across France. At age eighteen, the Gendarmerie enlisted his father for an anti-corruption sting with local businesses. Nizan was fascinated by the level of planning required by the police. He subsequently enlisted in the Gendarmerie Nationale and was assigned to the Highway Patrol Unit.

Gustave Kateb was born on September 16, 1977 in Paris, France. Of Algerian and French descent, Kateb grew up in an affluent family in Paris' 16 arrondissement. He comes from a well-respected lineage in both the military and medicine. In his second year of medical studies with the prestigious Universite Paris Descartes, Kateb answered the appeal for volunteers in Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). He has subsequently volunteered numerous times on emergency frontline aid missions around the world. At age twenty, Kateb declined a prominent private medical practice in favor of a career with the French Defense Health Service.

A North Korean by birth, Chul Kyung Hwa doesn't remember much of his early life. As a child, he and his family defected from the oppressive country and made their way across Asia in an attempt to eventually reach the Republic of Korea. Throughout it all, everyone impressed upon Chul Kyung that anything he said or any strange behavior would get them caught... it was life or death. So he buried his emotions deep, lest he betray his parents and be responsible for their capture; he became a stone to the outside world. During the journey, his older brother drowned while they were crossing a river. They then stayed in a safe house for over a month in near silence before taking a train ride that resulted in soldiers arresting two fellow defectors. His mother later grew sick and was slowing them down during a jungle crossing. After they were forced to leave his mother behind, Chul's father urged him not to cry so as to not alert nearby armed patrols. Gaining asylum in South Korea, it was not the happy life they'd envisioned. The loss of his family proved too much for Chul Kyung's father, who committed suicide, leaving his son an orphan. Chul Kyung remained a stone, never showing emotion, never betraying his inner thoughts.

Lin was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. When she turned eighteen, Lin enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). She was sent to the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) as an Officer Cadet and graduated top of her class. After completing a bachelor's degree in Science and Mechanical Engineering, she completed her officer training and was stationed at CFB Esquimalt with the Joint Coordination Centre Victoria (JRCC Victoria). From there she served on the primary Search & Rescue response team covering BC and the Yukon Territory. She was later invited to join Joint Task Force 2 and eventually Rainbow in 2015.

Liu Tze Long was born on July 2nd, 1972 in Tseung Kwan O (Junk Bay). He was raised by his father, who worked for a ship breaking company and often pulled double shifts. Liu's early years were spent working alongside his father in the stripping obsolete tankers for raw materials and parts. Growing up surrounded by hazardous materials and seeing their long-term effects on his fellow workers left Liu with an abiding respect for toxins and their effect on the human body. At 10 years old, he fell in an oil tank while scavenging an old ship and ingested a large amount of toxins while trying to break free. As the ship breaking business began to dwindle out, Liu and his father took some demolition jobs under the table. It all came to a stop when Liu's father injured his back. Liu was 19 and could not support them both with his own income. Quickly crumbling under debts, he seeked additional income by volunteering for mine clearing duties in the provinces of Yunnan and Guangxi.

Alexsandr "Lord" Senaviev was born on November 3, 1967 in Petersburg, Russia to a military family. At the age of eighteen, Senaviev was conscripted into military service just as the Soviet Union was ending its operations in Afghanistan. Upon the dissolution of his draft, Senaviev opted to enlist full time. He was part of the wrestling league, where his formidable frame and match strategy earned him accolades. Along with heavy artillery, Senaviev's training focused on defensive and breaching tactics, and while there he apprenticed as a precision tool and die machinist in the weapons division. Senaviev applied for a transfer to the Russian Navy but for classified reasons remained in the Armed Forces. Senaviev was later transferred into the Spetsnaz shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union. He would go on to marry and have kids, though the relationship later ended in divorce. Senaviev would later go on to join Rainbow sometime in 2015.

Marius Streicher was born on March 9, 1978 in Düsseldorf, Germany. He was raised by his uncle who was a mechanic with the Bundespolizei (BPOL) Aviation Group. As a result, Streicher was around engines and motors at an early age. While he demonstrated skills in mechanics, it didn't hold the challenge that he was looking for. Since he had an affinity for complex machinery, his uncle encouraged him to study aeronautical engineering at university, but the strict academic form was an uncomfortable fit for him. So while Streicher's grades were acceptable, he had a tendency toward restless antics. Following his hobby and passion for flying, he spent considerable time around pilots and aircraft.

Kantuta was born in Cojata, Puru in 1917 to the explorer Isaías Quispe. In 1920, an English explorer named Percy Fawcett contacted Isaías for help in finding a lost city. Due to owing the explorer his life, Isaias agreed. In 1925, Fawcett returned to South America and met Kantuta and her family. Before departing on their expedition, Fawcett gave Kantuta an old compass engraved with a message from his wife and promises that he would bring her father back home. Later that year, Kantuta received one last letter from her father. The expedition was never heard from again.

Ryad Ramírez Al-Hassar was born on February 29, 1968 in Ceuta, Spain. He and his brother, Faisal Ramírez, were both thrown into the foster care system at an early age. He was nine years old during Spain’s political transition, but did not feel the full the impact of these changes until later on. His focus was somewhere else entirely, as he was shifted from one dysfunctional family to the next. A few years later, Ramírez was taken out of the foster care system by his older brother who had become old enough to become his legal guardian.

Little is known about Al Hadid's life. He grew up in a small town adjacent to an air force base, and by all accounts led a normal life up until he was torn from his family as a teenager. For over fifteen years, Al Hadid struggled for his freedom and was frequently moved between solitary confinement and different facilities. He eventually broke free and resurfaced in Jordan, but stayed only long enough to obtain a new passport. He learned wrestling in Istanbul, Muay Thai in Bangkok, tactical driving in Berlin, and precision marksmanship in Damascus, likely working for a paramilitary sponsor. Then he disappeared again.

Brought up in a wealthy Moroccan family, Sanaa El Maktoub travelled considerably at a young age, visiting Europe and North Africa, and dreaming about braving remote regions. She enlisted in the military at 19 and later joined the Groupe d'Intérvention de La Gendarmerie Royale (GIGR) after graduating from the legendary Fortress. She served 4 tours with the Mountain Infantry Battalion and took part in Flintlock exercises and joint missions with Trans-Saharan Counterterrorism Initiative partners. She became her unit’s expert on environmental operations.

Born in the far north of Scotland, Cowden's military father and nurse mother moved to Inverness with him and his three siblings when he was five. His athleticism elevated him to the position of Captain of the 1998 Scotland National under-20 Rugby Union Team. Following a long family tradition of military service, Cowden joined the 3rd UK Mechanised Division of the British Army at age 18. His drive and physique suit the divisions's historical nickname of "Iron Sides." Cowden's first assignment was in the Armoured Division where he studied engineering and specialized in upgrading the infantry combat vehicles. From there, he developed various breaching tactics. After five years of active duty, he was recruited into the SAS, where he holds multiple records in speed and strength. An expert in mechanical, ballistic, explosive and thermal breaching strategies, Cowden is the operator to choose for quick and relatively silent destruction.

Born to wealthy parents, Shah's ability to achieve her goals was assured from an early age. This self-assurance hit a brick wall when she tried to join the military. Her interest in martial arts led her to enlist, but she quickly discovered that women weren't allowed to serve in combat units. Despite all of her money and all of her social influence, she had found an obstacle between her and something she wanted, and it would not budge. Leaving the military, she created her own Private Security Company to operate within India's borders, then a Private Military Company, NIGHTHAVEN, to operate overseas. She routinely negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts with incredibly favorable terms. Her ruthlessness is legendary, but by becoming a resource the Indian government desperately needs she has circumvented the laws that kept her from her goal and revalidated her self-perception as an unstoppable force in a largely static world.

Growing up in a military family in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Shuhrat Kessikbayev immigrated to Russia shortly before the fall of the Soviet Union. His parents encourage him and his brother to embrace all that was Russian, so it wasn't until his teens when he learned to embrace his Uzbek heritage. Kessikbayev followed in his father's footsteps and enrolled in the military. Showing an aptitude for science at an early age, the military honed his interest in mechanical engineering and trained him to be a mechanist.

Her father had died before she was born and her mother only received a small pension for his death. She was six years old when the Pereira family was forced to move to a poor neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro.

Bostonian Erik Thorn came from a multilingual home and ranked in the top 2% in intelligence. While his parents were loving, they were extremely protective and did not allow him to explore his own childhood neighborhood. This eventually led him to enlist in the U.S. Army after high school where he rose in rank over a short period of time. He learned Dari, and became an Intelligence Officer, serving in Kabul as foreign reporters, adventurers, and criminals flocked to the city. Thorn was well known in the underground club circuit and even among locals as a proficient Buzkashi player.

Touré was born on October 11, 1968 in Bordeax, France. The son of an army officer and school teacher, he is the middle of four siblings with two older brothers and a younger sister. A few years after graduating high school, Touré began his law enforcement career as a uniformed police officer in the National Gendarmerie. They used his imposing form whenever there was a need to show a strong police presence, earning him a spot in the Mobile Gendarmerie where the focus was on crowd control as well as military and counter-terrorism patrol missions. Touré's push for extensive training provided him with a broad skillset and earned him a position in the GIGN.

Vincente Souza was born on November 17, 1967. The youngest of three children, Souza grew up in Nova Iguaçu outside of Rio de Janeiro. At the age of ten, Souza's older brother was murdered by drug dealers of the Comando Vermelho. This prompted Souza to dedicate his life to protect Brazil and join the Policia Civil after high school. He was trained in a wide range of tactical weapons and breaching strategies and was quickly recruited by Cooredenadoria de Recursos Especiais (CORE).

A Nagoya native and the daughter of a local butcher, Imagawa was encouraged by her family to practice Kyūdō from a young age. This long range weapon marked her entry in martial arts by perfecting her assessment of multiple factors a once while carrying precise, controlled, and fluid motions. Imagawa traveled the world to perfect her skills and technique. She later attended the National Police Academy and gained the nickname of "Hibana" due to her improvised explosive devices and brilliant leadership skills on the field. Fluent in seven languages and lethal with any weapon, Imagawa was recruited by Aichi Police Department Special Assault Team. Her diverse techniques and charisma resulted in her to moving quickly up the ranks.
